Jose on the tiller
Working the jib sail at the bow
Land ahoy!
Trimming the jib sheet on the port side as we are going into a turn
David, have you done this before?
The keel keeps the boat from capsizing once the wind fills the mainsail and the boat picks up speed
Today we went sailing. There are different parts of a sailing boat, the front of the boat is called the bow and the back is called the stern. All of us got jobs like being the skipper on the tiller and controlling the sails such as the mainsail and the jib sail. We all took turns at the different jobs and tacked up and down the Menai Straits. The sun came out and there were clouds in the sky too. We all had a great afternoon.
I will tell you one thing, when a teacher says there's a spider on your chair and when you turn around to look, they will steal your sweets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
